There is nothing, perhaps, quite as frustrating to a hospitals administration than having a hospital vacancy. Hospitals will always have vacancies now and again anyway, particularly in large cities. The fact of the matter is that there are always going to be more people that need the services of reliable medical doctors than there are doctors to treat them. For a doctor looking for a job, though, it can be difficult to know where to start when looking for a hospital vacancy that needs filling. One of the ways to do this is to contact a doctors recruiting agency and see if they have knowledge of anything available in the area where you want to work. It doesnt hurt to have an idea of the demographic you are most comfortable working in as well as a clear idea of where you want to work. For example, if you arent sure you want to work outside of your home country, it wont do you any good to contact an international recruiting agency. If you prefer not to work in a hospital setting at all, then looking for a hospital vacancy to fill the time is just spinning in circles.
